Tile that tells a story.
“It offers that lived-in, timeless aesthetic that’s so essential in luxury design—especially in a vacation rental, where gusts are seeking not just comfort, but transporation to a slower, softer barefoot luxury.”
In the world of luxury vacation rental design, it’s not enough for a home to look beautiful—it needs to evoke a feeling, a memory, a mood. And when the design draws inspiration from a place as poetic as Mallorca, Spain every detail matters. That’s where tile becomes more than a surface — it becomes a storytelling tool.
For our latest project, Casa Mallorca, we’ve drawn from the rugged elegance and coastal calm of Mallorca. Working with Zia Tile, we selected the Cantera collection and it's proving to be the perfect medium. With its earthy tone, textured finish, and natural movement, Cantera feels as though it was pulled from the cliffs of the Balearic coast itself. It's a stone that doesn’t shout—it whispers. It grounds a space in a way that feels both ancient and effortlessly modern, much like Mallorca itself.
A Material with soul, Cantera’s subtle color variation and honed texture reflect sun-worn walls, artisan craftsmanship, and time. It offers that lived-in, timeless aesthetic that’s so essential in luxury design—especially in a vacation rental, where guests are seeking not just comfort, but transportation to a slower, softer barefoot luxury.
Cantera’s naturally occurring volcanic stone offers a sense of place without being thematic or forced. It’s refined but relaxed, durable yet soulful — a rare balance that tells guests: you’ve arrived somewhere special.
