The Opportunity
A sprawling Palm Desert estate with the opportunity to evolve beyond a traditional group rental into a destination-driven hospitality experience. With expansive grounds, panoramic mountain views, and a rare sense of privacy, Isla was positioned to become an immersive retreat centered around connection, atmosphere, and experiential living.
The Vision
Inspired by the idea of effortless escape, Isla was envisioned as a modern desert oasis designed around connection, belonging, and shared experience. Created for multigenerational families and groups, the property was imagined as a place where guests could gather, retreat, play, and slow down — all within one immersive environment. The island at the center of the pool, framed by preserved palms and citrus trees, became both the symbolic and emotional heart of the property — shaping Isla’s identity as a destination rooted in ease, atmosphere, and curated escape.
The Transformation
Originally a modest 2,900 sq. ft. residence, Isla was transformed into a 5,900 sq. ft. experiential retreat through the addition of a six-bedroom wing, layered gathering spaces, resort-style amenities, and immersive outdoor living. Preserved palms and citrus trees became part of the property’s identity — shaping a destination designed around connection, atmosphere, and a feeling of modern desert escape.
The Experience
Isla was designed to create effortless gathering from the moment guests arrive. Expansive social spaces, activity-driven amenities, and layered indoor-outdoor environments foster a stay that feels vibrant, connected, and deeply experiential — balancing play, relaxation, and elevated desert hospitality.
